These specially assembled starter bundles are ideal for beginners new to Lentivirus packaging and transduction, as well as experienced users looking for a great deal. 2nd Generation Packaging System Mix (Cat. No. LV003) is used to package lentiviral vectors with a wildtype 5' LTR because they require TAT for activation. However, the 2nd Generation Packaging System Mix will also support the packaging of 3rd Generation lentiviral expression vectors with a chimeric 5' LTR. DNAfectin™ Plus Transfection Reagent (Cat. No. G2500) is a unique formulation of polycations and liposomes, which guarantees high transfection efficiency in a wide variety of cell types including primary cells. qPCR Lentivirus Titer Kit (Cat. No. LV900) is a one-step assay which employs a quick RNA extraction step that is followed by RT-qPCR.
