- Description
- The Bovine CCL2 (MCP-1) ELISA is designed for the quantitative measurement of bovine CCL2 (monocyte chemoattractant protein-1) in cell culture supernatants. With minor modifications to the assay procedure, this ELISA can also be used to measure CCL2 in additional biological sample types, providing flexibility for a wide range of research applications. This Bovine CCL2 ELISA demonstrates cross-reactivity with Yak, American Buffalo, and Zebu CCL2, making it well suited for comparative immunology and translational studies involving related species. Bovine CCL2 (MCP-1) has been detected in multiple sample matrices, including cell culture supernatant, plasma, serum, urine, synovial fluid, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, and tissue lysates. CCL2 is a critical chemokine involved in the recruitment of immune cells to sites of inflammation. As a result, measuring CCL2 levels can enhance understanding of immune signaling pathways and contribute to research in inflammatory, cardiovascular, and neurodegenerative diseases. The Bovine CCL2 (MCP-1) ELISA contains a capture antibody, detection antibody, and recombinant protein standard for assay development. These antibodies have been validated to function together in an ELISA format using the provided standard. Optimal buffers, antibody concentrations, incubation times, temperatures, and assay conditions have not been predetermined, allowing researchers to optimize sensitivity and dynamic range based on their specific sample type. The quantities of kit components are not matched, and individual components may be purchased separately. This product is for research use only and is manufactured in the USA.
